Georgia Society of Histotechnology
The Georgia Society for Histotechnology (GSH) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to supporting the individuals that are actively engaged in the histology field across the state of Georgia. Established in 1973, their mission is to empower the profession of histotechnology through connection, collaboration, education, and innovation.
The Challenge
Georgia Society for Histotechnology was in need of a website to announce their annual summits for education, and allow participants to register for upcoming events. They needed complex forms to facilitate an easier way to manage schedules and participants, as well as accept payments. They also wanted a way for vendors to sign up to participate and to advertise on their website to increase revenue.
Our Approach
The GSH website was built using WordPress for its customizability and ease of use for the owners and users. Participants can view upcoming educational summits and register for events. They are able to view the schedules and select the desired courses. Courses are customized so that participants cannot inadvertently select conflicting scheduled events. They are able to make payment through the website, or select alternative methods. Vendors are also able to sign up and pay for advertising space at the summits and on the website.
